Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her spiky, blond locks as well as her pumped up appearance, offers simple techniques that anyone can grasp. Chef Burrell also has worked in the top New York establishments, studied Italian food and the traditions associated with it, and was a contestant on Food Network Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for culinary arts and food at the age of a child. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop to take after graduating with A Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications with a degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute Of America student. I loved every minute of it." It was impossible to study or learn enough. After graduating, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she learned to comprehend and appreciate the principles of Italian culinary and cultural traditions that created a lasting impact from a culinary perspective. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children who are facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for juvenile diabetes awareness. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share her passion for cooking as well as her career. Anne declared that she felt fortunate that I could share her true passion with many others.
