Naomi Watts

 

Naomi Ellen Watts (born 28 September 1968) is the British actress. When her family moved to Australia in the early 1980s, Watts made her debut in For Love Alone (1986). She later appeared on three television shows, Hey Dad.. (1990) and Brides of Christ(91), as well as Home and Away (91), and Flirting (1991). After having moved to the United States, Watts initially struggled to become an actress, playing roles in smaller-scale films until she was a part of David Lynch's psychological thriller Mulholland Drive in 2001 as an actress who was aspiring. Her rise to international fame was brought about by this role. Watts was later played as a tortured journalist in The Ring (2002). Her portrayal of a mother with grief in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated her for the Academy Award. Her fame grew with starring parts in I Heart Huckabees (2004), King Kong (2005), Eastern Promises (2007), as well as The International (2009). Watts was also nominated for the Academy Award as Best Actress for her performance in The Impossible (2012). In the 2010s, Watts starred in films like Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent (2015), While We're Young (2016), The Glass Castle (2017) and Luce (2018). Watts continued her acting career with big-budget roles, such as in Divergent (2015-2016).
