Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress. Her most well-known role is the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she received two times the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress for a series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also appeared on the NBC show Whitney (2011-2013), ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 1972. Her mother was executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. The family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her early years. Following in the footsteps of her grandmother and father who were artists, she began studying painting, drawing and architecture at the age of a child. Though she pursued all of the arts in her life, she also developed a passion for acting. In college she was exposed to contemporary theater. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. Seehorn started her college career as an actor and was encouraged by her acting teacher. She attempted to make her mark by working various ancillary roles in D.C. theater. The result was some significant roles in local theater productions However, she still had to find odd jobs to pay the bills She was also cast in various industrial short instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to be cast in TV productions. Her roles were often that were "very humorous and sarcastic" like her idol Bea Arthur. However, most of her roles were short-run shows that were cancelled after just two or three seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the main Jimmy McGill/Saul G. Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
